Shorts must touch on at least ONE THREAT facing the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve: biological, athropogenic (i.e. human caused), economic, climatologic, etc. The choice is up to you!
Films will be judged in part by how well they integrate the this threat into their creative film story.
B. Required Line of Dialogue:
“If I were a fish....”
Line must be used verbatim. It may be spoken, sung and/or written. It may be in Spanish or English.
C. Choice of Genre:
You may choose to write and film your script in a Horror, Comedy, Romance, or Music-Video genre. You may use a combination of the above. No other genres may be chosen. Films will be judged by how creatively they present their story in the selected style.
D. Timeframe:
All films must be created between February 15 – April 1, 2011. Submissions are due by Friday, April 1st, 2011. No previously existing footage may be used.
E. Participant Age:

All films must be written and edited by youth 14-19 years or 18-22 years of age. Actors may be older or younger family members or friends, but all creative and editing work must be done by team members between 14-22 years of age.
F. Team Size:
Any size. Movie making teams may be as large or as small as you would like. But each team is required to identify 1-2 “Team Captains”. All cast and crew must be volunteers (i.e. no one may be paid).
G. Film Length:
Finished films must be between 2 minutes – 4 minutes in length, not including credits. Longer is not necessarily better!
H. Credits:
Credits are limited to one minute (60 seconds) in length. (A film that is 4 minutes long may have an additional 1 minute of credits, for a total running time of 5 minutes).
I. Films may NOT include:
· Nudity
· Graphic Sexuality
· Any illegal activity
